S-Plus Applied to Pharmacokinetic
Graphical Analysis Workshop
What is it…Participants learn how to construct typical plots applicable to study reports, study report appendices, and exploratory analysis. The complete fundamentals workshop includes a day of hands-on training using the graphical user interface (GUI) and a day of hands-on training using command line S programming. In addition to constructing graphs, participants learn typical data import and data transformation functions relevant to pharmacokinetic analysis. Design the Course
Yourself… Maximize your efficiency by selecting the specific workshop sections you want and need for your environment. You can elect to take the entire course, or customize the course by choosing only sections of special interest for hands-on training. All registered attendees receive a complete manual with instructions and a diskette with example data, command line programs, and example GUI scripts. Add-on modules include Tree Regression and Population PK modeling. Another add-on module, Automating Import of Graphs into Word is under development and will be available soon. Submit Your Own Data… In addition to the worked exercises, you can submit your own data and bring specific questions for incorporation into the course. Continued Support… Registered attendees receive free email support addressing course related questions for 6 months following the workshop. Streamline Report Writing… In addition to superior graphical analysis, S-Plus provides a platform for developing a streamlined approach towards report generation. Routine graph construction and import into Word can be automated or semi-automated using the programming language, the script language, or both. Atypical or supplementary graphs can be readily incorporated into reports too, providing a flexible environment. Audience… The course benefits most new users and casual users of S-Plus involved in Population Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacokinetic/Pharmacodynamic analysis. At this time, the course is only offered for on-site training, but given the level of interest, public courses will likely be offered in late fall in the DC and NJ areas. The cost for on-site training varies with the content selected by the participants and the cost for public courses will depend on the location, please contact us for estimates.
